Player Profile: Spring and Fall Functional Training Participant Rowan Browne

Rowan Browne, Fall Functional Training Participant

Below is a video of 9-year old SocMM alum Rowan Browne.  It displays highlights from his 2012 spring season with his club team (Freestate Dragons).  Rowan trained for six weeks with SocMM during the Spring Functional sessions and will be participating again in our Fall Functional Sessions that start this Sunday.

Rowan is representative of the type of players we like to train: hardworking, motivated, respectful and willing to put in the extra work.

Please enjoy this awesome video:

If the motivated player(s) in your family want to participate with Rowan in our Fall Functional sessions that start this Sunday, you can register by clicking here.

Extra Kick:

Is your son or daughter part of the SocMM alumni? And if so, have they performed admirably on or off the field? Have they achieved in the classroom, community or soccer field through hard work?

Then let us know, so we can do a player profile and celebrate the hard work they have put in.  We love running pieces on the players, so please let us know, so we can run a story similar to the one above.

Ignition: Constant Reminders that Inspire Us Toward Our Goals

Disclaimer: This article was written by SocMM Executive Director Nate Baker

Have you ever had the feeling when you are carrying out a task and have forgotten why you are doing it in the first place?

Does the player in your family struggle sometimes to muster up the energy for soccer practice or to get outside in get some extra reps in on his/her own?

We have all been there.  You are physically and mentally tired to the point that you have forgotten why you go out in the back yard and work on your juggling, your 1v1 moves, your fitness, and any other thing that will help you become a better soccer player.

I believe it is vital that we constantly make sure our inspiration tank is full and never runs dry, and a great way to make sure this is the case is by checking out SocMM’s Ignition section.  In our Ignition section, we try to update our library of videos, articles, readings and movies as much as possible.

Also every Wednesday on my blog “Coach Nate’s Corner”, we do a series of blogs every Wednesday entitled “Ignition Wednesday” with material that we hope will have you inspired and focused as you get into the back-end of your week.

The three videos below have been added to the Ignition Video section and have been featured on “Coach Nate’s Corner”.  Please enjoy and prepare to be ignited!
